About Lake Pointe MUD

Nestled in the scenic Texas Hill Country of Travis County, Lake Pointe Municipal Utility District (LPMUD) is an essential part of the vibrant Lake Pointe community. Originally formed through the combination of West Travis County MUD #3 and West Travis County MUD #5, this unification was designed to streamline services and establish a solid foundation for the area’s infrastructure.

Situated within the Extra Territorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) of the City of Bee Cave, LPMUD collaborates closely with the city to balance community growth and environmental preservation. This partnership ensures a bright future while retaining the region's natural charm.

LPMUD manages vital aspects of the community, including stormwater runoff and drainage systems, detention and retention ponds, and the neighborhood’s landscaping and amenities. These amenities include the beautiful Vista Pointe Park and the popular Lake Pointe Swim Dock, both cherished gathering spots for residents. Additionally, the district owns and maintains the Lake Pointe Preserve, safeguarding this natural resource for recreational and ecological benefits.

The district is also actively involved in broader utility governance, playing a vital role in the oversight of the West Travis County Public Utility Agency (PUA) by appointing one of five directors to the PUA Board of Directors. This representation ensures that the needs and interests of Lake Pointe residents are reflected in regional utility policies and operations.

LPMUD’s dedication to sustainability, responsible governance, and enhancing the quality of life for its residents makes it a cornerstone of the thriving Lake Pointe community.
