Information For Lake Pointe Properties Adjacent to the Preserve
1) Rights & Responsibilities: Residents may maintain up to a 10-foot strip into the preserve along their property for firebreak protection/brush management with approval*. It is your responsibility, as a steward of the preserve, to maintain it as such and report detrimental activities to its natural resources. *See #3 Below for approval process.
2) Firebreak Program: The MUD contracts annually with the Travis County ESD6 to address sections of the preserve to maintain fire break zones.
3) Approval to Clear Fire Breaks: Because every section of the preserve is not cleared annually, residents may elect to clear the fire zone** on their own (**up to a 10-foot strip into the preserve along their property for firebreak protection/brush management as stated above). Advance permission must be requested through the management company via email: tumco1@tumco.net and the approved at the monthly MUD meetings.
4) Violations: If violations within the preserve areas adjacent to your home are reported (clearing without permission, removal of trees, dumping debris, etc.) and of an intentional nature, you will be subject to fines – read more.
